Equal Partners
Family Secrets Are Unravelled
Equal Partners was the debut show for troublehouse theatre. Entered into The Greater Manchester Fringe festival, and produced at the King’s Arms in Salford, we were nominated for ‘Best Newcomer’.
Written by Northern author David Tomlinson, local lad Graham stands on a cliff edge, the bells from his own wedding still ringing in his ears, seeking comfort and guidance from the only thing familiar to him: a fibreglass pig of his own creation. On the same cliff edge, Jenny seeks the comfort and protection of a nearby bush in an attempt to salvage her romantic weekend with the boss…and unexpectedly his wife!
A one hour comedy with moments for both laughter and reflection, ‘Equal Partners’ was the perfect story with which to found our company that seeks to support Northern work by Northern people.
