After The End

After The End

Following the success of Chris O’Connell’s ‘RAW’ and it’s MTA nomination, troublehouse are returning to the newly refurbished Joshua Brooks, Manchester with their latest production: Dennis Kelly’s dark thriller ‘After The End’.

Co-founder Rick Bithell will take on the role of ‘Mark’ and Susan Robinson returns to work with troublehouse again performing the role of ‘Louise’. Associate Director David Crowley Is back at the helm following the critically acclaimed tour of ‘Beryl’ with the West Yorkshire Playhouse, and ALRA North graduate Kathryn Blackburn joins our production team for the first time.

‘After The End’ has been a favourite of co-founders Rick and Heather as the pair worked on the opening duologue together at ALRA North as part of their final showcase. It follows ‘Mark’ and ‘Louise’ who are work colleagues trapped inside a nuclear fallout shelter having survived a terrorist attack on Manchester. They’ve escaped the blast but must now learn to survive the next two weeks with just themselves for company…

“It’s always been a dream of ours to put on the script in it’s entirely and we’re very grateful to Dennis Kelly for allowing us the opportunity to produce this extraordinary piece of theatre. We’re delighted to be back at the new-look Joshua Brooks, the basement space will provide that perfect claustrophobic feel of an underground bunker.”

After The End runs from Monday 24th – Saturday 29th October 2016 at the Joshua Brooks, Princess St in Manchester.

Tickets are £10/£8 and the performance lasts 1hr 40mins with no interval.
