Following the news of our site-specific collaboration with Liverpool John Moore’s University we are delighted to announce the following breakdown. Actors applying must be comfortable with improvisation, devising and work that is character driven.
Roles
‘The Investor’
Identifying M/ Identifying F. Any Age. Neutral Accent/RP
Represnts the Northshore Energy Consortium; cold, detached with bureaucratic efficiency. They hold a BSc in Economics from the London School of Economics and their shareholder return is the bottom line. Lunches in London and meetings on the golf green are how they socialise. Experience in business or knowledge of business and financial terminology is desired but not essential.
‘The Socio-Ecological Representative’
Identifying M/ Identifying F. Any Age. Northern/Liverpudlian
Representing the Estuary Futures Trust, this character possesses a PhD in Marine Spatial Ecology. Their goal is to fiercely advocate for protecting local ecosystems. Hobbies include bird watching, dog walking and debating. Knowledge of enviromental or geographical terminology is desired but not essential.
‘The EIA Project Manager’
Identifying M/ Identifying F. Any Age. Northern/Liverpudlian
Representing the Regional Development & Environment Authority, this character acts as a bureaucratic shield. Their job is often to absorb public anger and deflect blame. They hold a BSc in Environmental Science and enjoy a cryptic crosswords through methodical focus. A geographical knowledge of Liverpool and its landmarks is desired but not essential.
Dates
Rehearsals: 10th & 11th June (1000 – 1500). LMJU, Liverpool city centre.
Performace: 12th June (0900 – 1600). Liverpool Museum, Liverpool city centre.
